Pastor Zimmerman was born in South Texas, but grew up in Southern California and Oklahoma. At the age of 13, he was invited to ride a bus to Sunday School. That Sunday, he heard the Gospel and shortly thereafter received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Pastor Zimmerman met his wife, Terri, while attending college in Colorado. They have enjoyed 35 years of marriage together. They have three sons and six grandchildren.
Pastor Zimmerman is a 1985 graduate of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. He has served for four years as a missionary in Ghana, West Africa, nine years as assistant pastor at Bethel Baptist Church of Grapevine, Texas, and thirteen years as the senior pastor at Bible Baptist Church of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He also served as an adjunct professor at Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma City, teaching courses in the Bible and Theology departments. Finally, Pastor Zimmerman also received CLEET training to serve as a law enforcement chaplain. It was his privilege to work with the men and women of the Sapulpa Police Department in that capacity for eleven years.
Pastor Zimmerman has been serving with Faith Baptist Church since October 2012.
"It is a privilege to serve Jesus Christ in any capacity. It is my personal joy to serve in Maricopa as the pastor of Faith Baptist Church. If I can serve you in my capacity as a minister of Jesus Christ, please do not hesitate to ask. If you are uncertain about where you will spend eternity, I would welcome the opportunity to share the scriptures with you and to show you how Jesus Christ can be your personal Savior. "
